Hello! I am Hanzhong Liu, a failed computer science enthusiast😭. My research interests include distributed system, LLM agents and Μεταφυσικά. In my free time, I enjoy coding 👩🏻‍💻, spending time with cats 🐱, photography 📷, and outdoor activities like cycling and hiking 🥾.

My research vision is to develop various "platforms" that encapsulate complex functionalities behind elegant and user-friendly interfaces, making them accessible to users worldwide.

This interest was inspired by my high school OI (Olympiad in Informatics) coach, Mr. Liu, who designed a highly intuitive online judge (OJ) system for us during my OI journey. I particularly admired this system for its clear pipeline: “question” → “human brain” → “code” → “score.” This was my first encounter with the concept of a “platform.”

I consider search engines, big data frameworks such as Spark, cloud computing systems like AWS Lambda, and AI agents as examples of the “platforms” that I deeply admire.

Even earlier, I enjoyed playing with LEGO bricks and Minecraft, and I believe computer systems share many similarities with LEGO/Minecraft at an abstract level—both involve building complex structures from simpler, modular components.
